ABOUT CRUNCHYROLL EXPO

Going on its 6th year, Crunchyroll Expo is a premier fan festival that celebrates all things anime. Featuring unique panels, exclusive merchandise, and world premieres, this year’s show will both be in-person and streaming online August 5–7, 2022, with an additional digital replay available until August 9, 2022. CRX is live in San Jose from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7, 2022 with digital replay available of select panels from August 5 to August 9 at crunchyrollexpo.com.

Crunchyroll Expo is officially sold out of tickets for this year’s festivities. As we are completely sold out of tickets, please note that no tickets will be sold at the door. For all fans unable to join us in-person, we invite you to join us virtually through our New Crunchy City TV Livestream and VOD replay! 

The badge mailing deadline of June 26th has passed, so while we aren’t able to offer shipping on further badge purchases, you may pick your badge up at will call (New Crunchy City Hall in SJCC’s South Hall) as early as Thursday 8/4 @ 12p.

Crunchyroll Expo is officially sold out of tickets for this year’s festivities. As we are completely sold out of tickets, please note that no tickets will be sold at the door. Absolutely! Please note that if you do, your badge will not be mailed to you, but you can pick it up at Will Call at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center during registration hours.

All attendees six and up need a ticket to take part in Crunchyroll Expo. We recommend all children under 18 attend with an adult, and all children under 13 must have an adult with them while at the event. Children ages 6-11 (Children under 12) tickets are only $25 and offer 3-Day access to the event.

Crunchyroll Expo is available virtually around the world for free, without the need to register. Simply head to crunchyrollexpo.com starting August 5th @11am. Digital replay will be available until August 9th at 22:00 (10:00pm) Pacific Time. We hope you’ll join us!

HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ACCESSIBILITY

The health and safety of attendees and exhibitors at Crunchyroll Expo is our #1 priority. Proof of vaccination with photo ID is required for entry to Crunchyroll Expo, and face coverings are required at all times. All attendees of Crunchyroll Expo are required to submit to a security screening upon entering the event. Crunchyroll Expo utilizes state of the art screening technology, canines, and other security measures at the event. Our friendly security staff is available to assist you for anything you may need. Prohibited items include weapons of any kind, including cosplay props which resemble real weapons in any way. Please read the full Cosplay FAQ below.

Crunchyroll Expo is an open celebration of anime and its fans, and harassment of any kind is the opposite of the community we want to create.

Crunchyroll is committed to fostering an atmosphere where attendees can count on a safe, inclusive, and rewarding experience, and we have zero tolerance for harassment, groping, stalking, or inappropriate photography.

Harassment includes, but isn’t limited to, verbal defamation based on gender, gender identity, or gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion; deliberate intimidation; following or stalking; forceful or non-consensual photography or recording; sustained disruptions; and nonconsensual physical contact or sexual attention.

If you feel uncomfortable or harassed, please speak with a staff or security member so we can make it right. If you engage in harassing conduct at Crunchyroll Expo, you could risk losing your badge or being removed from Crunchyroll Expo without refund. Queueing, Entrances Procedures And Other Helpful Tips

Once you arrive at Crunchyroll Expo, proceed to Health Check located inside New Crunchy City Hall & Registration, at the corner of Market Street & Viola Ave. (435 S Market St, San Jose, CA 95113)

Please have your ID and proof of vaccination out and ready to be checked. (To view our full health & safety policy, please click here) One of our friendly staff verifies your proof of vaccination, you will be given a wristband which can be worn throughout your entire stay at Crunchyroll Expo.

If you need to pick up your badge: follow the signs for pick-up & registration. Follow the signs to exit once you have picked up your badge.

If you already have your badge, or once you have picked up your badge, as long as you have gone through our Health Check and received your wristband, you’re ready to enter Crunchyroll Expo! Head to the front of the convention on San Carlos St. where you’ll be able to enter the event!

While Health Check will open each morning as early as 7:00am, the main entrance to the event does not open until 9:30am.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate arrivals to the main entrance area earlier than 9:30am Fri-Sun.

Starting at 9:30am, fans may be allowed to enter the main entrance / security screening area, and are invited to explore the plaza, and select concourse spaces inside the building. Queueing for certain show features or panels may also begin around this time. Please note: Fans who purchased access to Early Shopping on Friday will be given expedited entry starting at 9:30am Friday.

Crunchyroll Stage: We recommend arriving no earlier than 45min prior to the start of the panel you wish to see. Please note: At the Crunchyroll Stage, all fans must exit the theater at the end of each panel.

New Crunchy City Music Fest: Fans are invited to start queueing for entry into the Music Fest as early as 11:30am each morning. Please follow designated signage to the queueing area. New Crunchy City Music Fest is general admission, first-come, first-served and fans may stay inside the festival stage as long as they’d like. Upon exiting, fans must rejoin the entry queue. During peak times of high demand, the festival stage may close for further entry – but fans are invited to remain in the festival area to enjoy key photo ops, activations and more. Fans who are unable to access the Music Fest may also view the performances simulcast to the festival area.

Hime & Yuzu Stages: We recommend arriving no earlier than 30min prior to the start of the panel you wish to see. Please note: At the Hime & Yuzu Stages, all fans must exit the theater at the end of each panel.

We’re sorry, but due to high demand we are unable to accommodate seat holding – please ensure your party is together when you are seated to ensure as many fans as possible may be accommodated to each panel.

Cosplay at CRX

We want Crunchyroll Expo to be fun, and part of it being fun is keeping you secure. If you’re coming in cosplay or bringing a cosplay prop to Crunchyroll Expo, please read our cosplay rules first. Cosplay is a huge part of anime culture, and we don’t want to limit your creativity, but we want to make sure you and everyone at Crunchyroll Expo is safe.

Props resembling real weapons of any kind are not allowed at Crunchyroll Expo. If you’re bringing a cosplay prop, please read the rules below to ensure your item is permitted into the event.

1. Costumes must be appropriate to wear in public
2. Shoes must be worn at all times
3. Cosplay, costumes, and apparel deemed inappropriate or offensive within a family-friendly environment are prohibited.
3. Crunchyroll Expo reserves all rights to make final determination of appropriateness.
4. Harassment of any kind is not welcome at Crunchyroll Expo. Any costume intended to harass, provoke, or intimidate isn’t allowed.

1. Props resembling real firearms in any way are not allowed at Crunchyroll Expo.
2. Prop and replicas which resemble weapons (swords, etc.) are only permitted at Crunchyroll Expo as long as they’re made of cardboard, foam, or similar light material. Plastic and wooden prop weapons may not be allowed entry to the event.
3. Prop bows will be allowed providing they are unstrung. All arrows must have soft tips.
4. No water toys, silly string, vuvuzelas, or fire.

Please note: Your Health & Safety are our #1 priority at Crunchyroll Expo, and our security team reserves the right to disallow entry to the event of any item, object, or prop. There is no bag or prop check available at Crunchyroll Expo
